During the 10th European Craniofacial Congress in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2015, the European Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association (ECPCA) was founded. The ECPCA promotes and supports the management of cleft lip and palate deformities, and related craniofacial anomalies in Europe by organizing a multi-disciplinary European congress once every four years for dissemination of experience and knowledge in this field.
The 2019 congress will take place in Utrecht, the Netherlands on 12 - 15 June 2019 and will bring together experts, practitioners and companies involved in the treatment of cleft lip palate/craniofacial malformations. Professionals attending this congress will benefit from high-level scientific presentations, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities, with the overall goal of promoting understanding and treatment of these diseases.
Theme of the 2019 congress is Future perspectives in research & therapy. With this theme we would like to explore possibilities such as robotic involvement in surgery, 3-D printing and future applications of regenerative medicine, but also include new developments in modalities eg. genetics in diagnosing craniofacial anomalies.
The ECPCA aims to be a forum for all cleft palate and craniofacial teams in Europe. It is our purpose to bring together the best of European science in the field during this meeting, completed with invited speakers from around the globe.
