INVITATION

The International Phycological Congress (IPC) meets every four years and is intended for scientists and professional organizations with an interest in phycology.
After thorough consideration, and in view of the non-resolved coronavirus pandemic worldwide, the International Phycological Society and the Organizing Committee have decided that the 12th IPC will be held in a virtual format. This decision ensures the continuity of our activities contributing, at the same time, to the health and wellbeing of those who would have attended the Congress. We also expect that this decision will play a part in flattening the COVID-19 curve.
IPC2021 will include Plenary lectures, Symposium speakers, and oral and e-poster presentations within the frame of 15 Symposia that will cover all aspects of phycology. We expect and encourage worldwide contributions from any area of phycology to be participating for the first time in this new format.
