2. International Prevent From Caries Symposium

Dear Collegues,

Dentistry is such a sacred profession both preventing healthiness of a tooth and treating into healthy condition. Prevention starts by learning ‘’What to prevent from’’. Caries as the main disease of dental hard tissues has to be considered from very beginning of its initiation at visible stage that is around 150-200 micrometer, it appears by white opaque discoloration either as a point area or partial/total surface.

Initial caries less than 150 micrometer is a caries but called as prewhite spot lesion. However it is still a demineralization and has to be prevented before progression.

Enamel caries deeper than 150 micrometer still has an intact outer surface layer and should be treated chemically, called remineralization. Actually remineralization continues unless outer surface is broken. Following break of outer layer caries progresses faster, especially in dentin tissue. That progress until caries reaches to the pulp is another big issue from prevention and treatment point of view.

This symposium will focus mainly on initial, moderate and advanced caries lesions and clinical management. As clinicians we all have to evaluate recent advancements on management of those lesions. Therefore please do not hesitate to attend to this Symposium, besides lectures about caries and its management, you will find many attractiveness for your practice, amazing workshops and interactive panel. You are also invited to present your thesis, researches in laboratory and clinics.
