I am thrilled to welcome you to the PainSA congress on the 17-19 September 2021. I am looking forward to a jam packed congress with something beneficial for all our attendees. We have decided this year to focus on the role of the brain in pain as this is a vital part of understanding pain and indeed clinical pain management.
The annual PainSA congress is a unique opportunity to interact and learn from health care professionals from many different fields. It is a truly interdisciplinary congress that allows for discussion, debate and networking with others who have a keen interest in pain both acute and chronic pain and management thereof.
You will be spoiled for choice with a variety of interactive workshops and stimulating lectures in the latest developments in the world of pain as well as the most fun you will possibly ever have at the congress dinner.
I encourage you to submit scientific abstracts for presentation in the free paper session so that you can share your research and knowledge with all attendees. The congress is being hosted in the beautiful city of Cape Town which has much to offer in terms of picturesque views, fine dining and entertainment aside from the exciting congress programme.
