21. Congress of The European Society For Sexual Medicine

Dear ESSM Congress Participants and ESSM members,

The ESSM meeting in Ljubljana is just behind us and on behalf of the ESSM executive committee, scientific committee, educational committee and the local organizing committee I would like to thank you all for being part of the ESSM 21st meeting.

We had an excellent scientific meeting in a bio-psycho-social approach in the beautiful and charming Ljubljana. Eight ESSM position statements have been presented and will serve you as clinical guidelines in the near future. Thanks to support of the municipal and the efforts of the local organizing committee, we felt warmly welcome and we were able to organize a great sexual health awareness event. The exhibition area was crowded with our sponsor’s stands and many posters. In total we had 831 participants from 63 countries and 6 continent which resemble the diversity of our society and participants. I can summarize that we had a successful event in the known friendly ESSM family atmosphere.

I would like to thank all the committee members who did excellent work in the preparation of the congress but also the speakers and the chairs for their excellent presentations and lectures. But must important, I would like to thank you for your participation and make it happened.

I’m looking forward to see you all in future ESSM activities and in our next congress in Rotterdam 2020. I can guarantee that it will be an excellent congress. For the ones who intend to apply for the MJCSM and EPSA exams, remember that we will have again the preparation course just before the congress.
