Greetings from Singapore to our IACAPAP members, fellow colleagues and friends from across the world.
As you may already know, the original IACAPAP physical live congress has been postponed and converted to a virtual conference to take place from 2-4 December this year. As a continuing commitment of IACAPAP to engage the child and adolescent psychiatrists and allied professionals worldwide, even during these very challenging times, we had organized an introductory webinar to bring everyone together on 20 July which was the first day of the live congress if it had not been disrupted by COVID-19.
With the topic “COVID-19: Child and Adolescent Mental Healthcare: Disruption or Evolution?” featuring three prominent speakers and three panelists during the discussions, the webinar attracted more than 900 participants from 103 countries!
On an international stage, we have seen countries responding to the pandemic early and effectively in order to bring the virus spread under control. However, we are not out of the woods yet as millions of people are still being impacted, many in a disproportionate way depending on their country of origin, socio-economic and physical health status.
