28. International Congress of The Obstetrical and Gynaecological-OGSM 2021

Dear Colleagues,

We are back!

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to rage, but life must go on. The Organising Committee has made the decision to take the 28th International Congress of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia into the virtual realm. The date has been set for the 23rd to 25th of July 2021.

The Committee has been hard at work converting the congress into a virtual one. The theme “Advancing Knowledge, Enhancing Practice” was chosen as technology and medical advances are rapidly evolving, allowing us to improve the provision of care in Maternal and Women’s Health. The Scientific Committee has put together a programme that is relevant and up-to-date, and will be delivered to you via an exciting virtual platform, the creation of which has opened up limitless possibilities in the development of the programme.

We were intent on having a ‘traditional’ on-site congress, as we all miss the social interaction with our friends in the fraternity. To many, one of the greatest attractions of our annual congresses is that we can get away from our busy schedules to catch up not only with the latest in science, but also with our colleagues and friends. With the declaration of a State of Emergency in Malaysia, however, we have had to make the difficult decision to go fully virtual, but we still hope to be able to incorporate a social component to the virtual experience.
