On behalf of the Malaysia Spine Society, it gives me enormous pleasure to invite everyone to participate in the 7th International Malaysia Spine Society Scientific Congress from 2nd to 4th August 2019 at WEIL Hotel, Ipoh Perak, Malaysia.
I am really looking forward to the next Congress in 2019. No doubt it will be at least as exciting as our successful meeting at Hilton Kuala Lumpur in August 2018.
It is my pleasure to inform you that Dato' Dr K S Sivananthan is the Organising Chairman and Dr Zulkefli Atan is the Scientific Chairman of this Congress.
The theme of this Congress is "Efficacy and Safety in Spine Surgery". The Congress will bring to you the latest development, education, research and innovation in spine care and management. The scientific programme will focus on pre-congress workshop, plenary lecture, symposia, expert forums, combined orthopaedic-neurosurgery symposia, debates, and operative video sessions. Additional sessions on pain and medico-legal related to spine health and surgery will be featured in the Congress following the feedback from our delegates. You may expect all these to be delivered by our notable, highly skilled international and national speakers.
We will be giving two awards in this Congress, namely Best Oral Presentation and Best Poster Presentation Awards. We are inviting spine surgeons and researchers from the region to submit their research work for free papers and poster presentations.
This meeting provides great opportunity for experts and professionals to interact with experts and fellow surgeons from the region. The Congress will allow you to share invaluable knowledge and experiences, exchange ideas and information on the latest international research and development in the field of spinal health and surgery, which will hopefully improve the competence of the medical fraternity to care and treat patients.
As the President of Malaysia Spine Society, I encourage everyone to attend this Congress as it will offer invaluable knowledge in detail about the daily practice of spine surgery in the region. I hope you could also take some time to enjoy the beautiful heritage and nature of Ipoh, Perak.
