9. DAR International Alliance Conference

Dear Participants,

I would like to welcome you all the 9th DAR International Alliance Conference. The DAR International Alliance conference for 2021 is a special one as it will coincide with the launch of the new IDF-DAR guidelines as well as many new studies. However, due to COVID-19, the conference will be virtual. While we will miss seeing everyone face to face, having a virtual conference will allow DAR conference to reach everyone globally. Indeed, as the interest in DAR has been exponentially growing over the last 9 years, and to meet the global demand, DAR International Alliance Conference for 2021 will have the conference set for two different time zones:

21-22 January 2021 at Makkah time zone
23-24 January 2021 at Kuala Lumpur time zone

This format will allow the maximum number of people from Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia, to easily join the conference. While, the content of each section will be largely the same, however, this format will help to include relevant regional data and key regional speakers while sustaining the international setup of the conference.

DAR International Alliance is proud to sustain the collaboration with the Emirates Diabetes Society and welcomes the collaboration of the Arab Association of the Study of Diabetes and Metabolism as well as the Endocrine Chapter of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore & the Malaysian Endocrine & Metabolic Society.
