On behalf of CASSA, we welcome you to South Africa and Africa! We promise that you will enjoy the experience and hospitality of the African continent. Throughout the ICCVA-CASSA 2023 Congress there will be interactions from global leaders that will enhance your global view in the cardiovascular and thoracic field. The aim of this meeting is to foster stronger bonds in the cardiovascular and thoracic community; to advocate for improved care of our patients through better clinical management; to facilitate ongoing and collaborative education and training of our members; and to encourage and support collaborative constructive research in our field.

The international and local panel of speakers are experts in the field and will be at hand to share their pearls of wisdom on many different subjects. We welcome our colleagues from cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology and perfusion as part of the Heart Team, to engage on common topics we share towards improvement of outcomes in our patients.
Among the international community, we welcome new friends, old friends alike.

We also welcome our African Brothers and Sisters to this meeting. We hope to have meaningful intercontinental engagements. Africa and South Africa promise our international community an experience of a lifetime with our Safari adventures, our beautiful landscapes, beaches, the African cuisine and many more from our hospitality section.
