2019 is the Golden Jubilee year for the Department of Paediatric Surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi & will also witness the 45th Annual meeting of the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons.
It is with great pleasure, that, we invite you to join our Department’s Golden Jubilee celebrations. The Department was started in 1969 by Prof. Purushottam Upadhyaya with only one more faculty member- Prof. Dilip Kumar Mitra. Over the years our Department has seen stalwarts of the likes of the Late Prof. Mridula Rohatgi, Prof. D.K. Gupta & Prof. V. Bhatnagar at the helm.
The fraternity of Paediatric Surgeons in India has unanimously supported our call by announcing the 45th Annual Conference of Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons (IAPSCON -2019) to be held at AIIMS (Delhi). It is our privilege and pleasure to invite you to IAPSCON -2019 from 30th October to 3rd November 2019. The meeting will kick off with pre-conference workshops and CME on the 30th and 31st October, followed by three days of academic deliberations and expanded educational opportunities with elaborate scientific sessions. The conference is expected to provide a unique opportunity to both young Paediatric Surgeons as well as those who are well established.
Delhi has always been famous for its historical stories of delicious cuisine, beautiful monuments & lovely weather as October and November are considered the best time to visit Delhi. It is the organizers intent to make this conference a memorable one for the delegates both academically as well as socio-culturally.
Our Department is one of the oldest and with its contributions to the development of Paediatric Surgery elsewhere, too, in the country, makes 2019- IAPSCON an extraordinary one. We are sure that you will undoubtedly mark the dates in your calendar. We anticipate a positive and enthusiastic response from you.
