Dear Colleagues of every disciplines,
Photo of the Campus of SavonaIt is a great honor to host the third edition of Pain Science in Motion in Italy at the University Campus of Savona and invite young researchers to share their projects, their methodologies and their results.
After the success of the first Brussel edition and the second Stockholm edition with almost 100 presenting Ph.D. students from more than 20 countries, we hope that the Savona - Italian edition will confirm the growing trend in terms of number of participants and their presented research quality.
I also hope that this edition will see an increased number of disciplines involved, with showing of different approaches to pain phenomenology, physiology, assessment and treatment.
International guest speakers will enrich the scientific program with their key-note lectures, spanning from the contextual factors influencing pain by placebo mechanism to the choice of exercise in spinal pain, from body representation in painful conditions to autonomic system involvement and comorbidities associated to pain.
A series of “Meet the expert” sessions will allow the participant to interact with internationally recognized researchers to discuss methodological topics or to receive useful information on how to cultivate and successfully continue a career as researcher.
The Italian edition of Pain Science in Motion, received the endorsement of the Italian Association of Physical Therapists (AIFI) and of the Italian Society of Physiotherapy that shows the enormous interest that the congress theme has stimulated and therefore we expect a more than a significant participation of professionals interested to have a glimpse of the future of pain assessment and treatment.
A rich proposal of pre-conference courses will give the participants the possibility to deepen their knowledge or practical skill with a direct positive impact on their professional activity.
