18. Asian Spinal Cord Network Conference and 11. Annual Malaysian Rehabilitation Medicine Conference

Dearest friends and colleagues,

It is our greatest pleasure to bring the Asian Spinal Cord Network (ASCoN) Conference to Malaysia for the second time. We invite you and your colleagues to join us in University of Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur and for the 18th ASCoN Conference 2019.

The theme for the year is “Live Well with SCI”. Over the years of practice in spinal cord medicine and rehabilitation, we recognize living well with spinal cord injury (SCI) and the prevention of secondary health conditions is key to combating premature ageing as a complex and multidimensional phenomenon. We believe that collaborative work between health care providers from different disciplines is essential to promote healthy living and active ageing, and maximize the quality of life of persons with SCI.

In this Multidisciplinary Conference, we will include multiple types of sessions with various essential topics, engaging both international and local speakers to share their knowledge and clinical experiences. There will be pre-conference workshops, plenary, symposium, oral and poster session, forum/expert panel discussion; all geared to stimulating discussion and networking among the participants.

We encourage you to take this opportunity to be involved in these 3 days of a stimulating scientific program with the pre-conference workshops and look forward to seeing you in September 2019! Malaysian hospitality will be experienced throughout the conference.

This ASCoN conference will continue the tradition of hosting a cultural exchange dinner and all delegates are invited to the Cultural Night at the University of Malaya Alumni Club House. Do not miss your chance to network and learn from your peers, leading professionals and researchers.
