Welcome to COVISIM2021 – World e-Congress on the Simulation in Medicine During SARS-CoV2!

COVID has brought Simulation to the forefront of Medical Education.

Nurses, Medical Students, Post Graduate Residents, Health providers all need training in this new normal.

Communication Training, Bio-Protection Training, Patient Safety Training are now added to the simulation based medical education curriculum.

What started off as Simple Mannequin based CPR training decades ago evolved to Hi-fidelity computer programmed, intervention responsive, machined mannequin-based education in early 2000s.

The next decade ushered the establishment of Simulation Centers with Studio like arrangements mimicking outpatient doctor Offices, Operating Rooms, Field and Emergency Rooms and hospital environments.

Today we are living in an era where VR (Virtual Reality), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Video Gaming (VG) are the next frontier for Simulation Based Medical Education.

The gaps we address as the “Simulation Divide” continue to hamper the progress of Simulation as an effective Tool and Technique in Medical Education across the globe.
